The closest public airport is Long Island's MacArthur Airport (ISP) in Ronkonkoma, where travelers can easily rent a car or transfer to the Long Island Rail Road (LIRR). A pricey Uber is also an option from here; it is about a 90 minute ride. Travelers will avoid NYC traffic.

JFK and La Guardia (LGA) are the next closest options and transfers can be made to the LIRR's Jamaica Station via car from either or AirTrain from JFK.

For those who might be unable to get direct flights to those airports, Newark Airport (EWR) is an option, albeit much further. Travelers can take NJ Transit to NY Penn Station and transfer to the LIRR.

Hampton Jitney & Ambassador

The Hampton Jitney (and its luxury sister The Ambassador) is a bus that travels from the east side of Manhattan to the Hamptons. It stops at JFK as well.

Long Island Rail Road

The Long Island Railroad runs from Penn Station and Grand Central Station in Manhattan. The most convenient stops to Sag Harbor are Bridgehampton and East Hampton. The "Cannonball Express" leaves at 4:07 from Track 19 of Penn Station and skips all Long Island stops before Westhampton.

Those flying into La Guardia (via car) and JFK (via AirTrain) can transfer to Jamaica Station to connect to the LIRR.

Blade

Blade runs helicopters from multiple helipads in Manhattan, as well as JFK to various locations in the Hamptons year-round and charters are available for larger groups.

Local Travel

Uber

Ubers are easy to come by in the Hamptons, but be forewarned that they are pricier than other markets.
